Just to note, if you are looking for a great selection of Aspartame free gum Click Here

I chew a lot of gum and recently found out that one of the key ingredients, aspartame, can lead to some serious issues. So I began to search all my local stores for a sugarless gum that didn’t have it. To my surprise and shock I couldn’t find anything! So after looking around for awhile I found some great gum on line and I thought I’d share them with you.

The first kind I came across was “Glee Gum”. It tastes great and is made from all natural ingredients, the base of this chewing gum is made with chicle, sap of the Sapotier tree which one finds in the  rain forests of  Central America, rice syrup, gums arabic, carbonate  calcium, resin, beeswax and wax of carnauba. Moreover, Glee Gum is  vegetarian, without additives or lactose, dairy products, corn, gluten, casein, egg, yeast, nut, soya and groundnut.  It is  is 100% natural.

Another gum I really think is great is XyliChew gum. It keeps its flavour and doesnt stick to teeth at all. It’s made with natural flavours and it’s GMO free!

Unfortunately, gum isn’t the only product containing aspartame; soft drinks, candies and other foods on the market use aspartame as a flavor enhancement. In fact, I became very interested and soon found out that the FDA has recognized the negative reactions with over 90 adverse effects including disorders related to: neurological, psychiatric, audio, visual, gastrointestinal and metabolic issues, as well as many other side effects.
There are natural sweetening ingredients out there that are used in gum products, but they’re very hard to come by especially in the public market. It’s a shame that we can’t blindly trust what we purchase, but we must all be smart consumers and luckily the demand is starting to be met by competing brands.

THE EFFECTS OF ASPARTAME

I started researching about the negative effects of aspartame, mainly because I want to take control of my life and what I put in my body. Yet, a lot people are ignorant of them. The diet industry tries to keep this a secret as keeping items containing aspartame on the shelves ensure their money. Many conventional doctors and medical professionals will deny the ill effects about aspartame.

Some people have been fortunate to have an immediate issue to the items containing the chemical. The fast reactions can vary from having a bad migraine, to feeling ill, nervousness and stomach cramps. With reactions that are instant, it is easy to recognize that aspartame should best be removed from their diet. A good step would be to get yourself some aspartame free gum if you are a chewer.

The most common symptom associated with aspartame illness is headache. Many people say that they experience problems with vision, including blurred vision, blindness, and other eye problems. Nausea and other stomach disorders are reported in aspartame poisoning.

If you have been a consumer of this , then it is time to reverse some of your thinking. The health issues of aspartame should not be ignored and the habit of consuming products with with it should be stopped.

What’s New in Aspartame Free Gum??

There are a ton of People out there today who like or even love to chew gum but at the same time they really want to avoid aspartame due to personal choice or because of health reasons, usually have limited options. I noticed this myself a number of years back when searching for an Aspartame free gum at my local corner store and I couldnt find anything. I was shocked! That is when I began to look elsewhere for a better product. My search started online, of course.Fortunately there are some companies who have taken advantage of this need and developed gum that is free from the sweetener yet still maintain a great chew with long lasting flavor.
These companies and online merchants usually use other sweeteners to take its place, which have shown to be far less harmful then Aspartame…in fact that stuff really has no business being in our food chain in any way. It was originally labeled as a bio weapon and was developed by defense companies.  Scary stuff indeed. One alternative sweetener that is used is xylitol. They use this sweetener due to its multiple health benefits such as being low in calories, whiter teeth and improved dental health such as prevention and even reversal of cavities.  People who can’t use artificial sweeteners because of phenylanine are also excited to be able to chew these brand’s products because it doesn’t contain any. Products like these are even good for people who are pre diabetic or have diabetes but want to avoid artificial sweeteners, as this is a product for them.
One brand that uses xylitol is Zapp gum. This gum is sugar free as well. It comes in multiple flavors such as cinnamon, peppermint, spearmint and fruit flavor. This brand offers a sample pack in their line of products which features all their different flavors. They offer their gum in packs of 12 boxes, for only $14.99 each. PUR gum is another brand that uses xylitol as well. Their company slogan is very interesting as well, because it says “my gum kicks aspartame”. It comes in different flavors such as spearmint, peppermint, pomegranate and excitmint. This brand offers some extra perks aside from xylitol use, as they are gluten free and vegetarian as well, which makes this gum perfect for anyone with restrictions. The average price for this gum is $2.00 per pack. For me personally I’ll never chew gum laced with Aspartame again…it just makes good health sense for me and my family and Im for sure telling my friends about my own personal research. Id highly advise you to do the same and find out all you can for yourself.

In 1992, the good people at Glee Gum went to chicle-producing village in North Guatemala. The company claims that until this point they had little hands on experience on where their raw product actually came from. Upon their visit they learned how synthetic resins have been problem for these farmers and their crop was not being used nearly as much prior to these new synthetic materials being used. chicle was the basis of the entire industry. So with that in mind the company who makes Glee set out to buy and use the Chicle in their own chewing gum products in order to help out these people while bringing children everywhere natural great tasting gum and also educating them on where it comes from and how it’s made along with the importance of such ingredients to native people of Central America. Still Want To Chew Gum With Aspartame?

Posted by GW | Posted in Aspartame Free Gum | Posted on 29-06-2009

If you suffer from a migraines, it’s better for you to stop chewing gum with aspartame. Should the product not ring a bell, how about NutraSweet? Equal? Little blue packages in the sugar bowl on restaurant tables? It’s also found in endless amounts of sugarless gum.

If you were to go just by the information about aspartame that you can find on the Internet, you could well think this sugar substitute was created by the devil himself. In all truth, the amount of Internet sites devoted to destroying aspartame and the brand name NutraSweet is insane. It’s has been attacked like almost no other product on the market, the finger being pointed for everything from loss of memory to schizophrenia. Although the jury is still out on aspartame’s culpability in relation to many ailments, there is no getting around the fact that aspartame has been linked to headaches in many studies.

It is used in NutraSweet, an artificial sweetener. What it does is give off an amino acid neurotransmitter in the brain. In essence, though approved by the FDA as a additive, aspartame is really a drug.

The New England Journal of Medicine, a well known medical journal, has finished studies that have found a connection between heavy consumption of diet drinks sweetened with aspartame and migraine headaches. Suddenly aspartame free chewing gum seems like a good idea, no?

One scientist who has conducted research came to the startling conclusion that 90% of all migraines are caused by allergic reactions to food or food additives! His findings also suggest that this product is the most common food additive related to migraines.

All this research, however, no conclusion has yet been drawn which strongly establishes what it is about aspartame that causes migraines in headache sufferers. Indeed, serotonin pops up quite a bit in medical journals as it seems to play a part in conditions ranging from appetite loss to mood change to sleep problems. When it comes to migraines, serotonin is thought to play a part in the lowering of levels of it in your body thanks to the effects of aspartame, thereby exacerbating pre-existing conditions that cause migraines. So it’s really not so much a case of aspartame being the cause of migraines, but rather being a fast finger on the trigger.

You may not believe, but there’s also a danger from ceasing your intake of aspartame. Crazy eh? If you are currently drinking a huge amount of diet drinks or using a lot of NutraSweet in your coffee or tea, the one thing you don’t want to do is suddenly stop for a few months and then go back. Many people report that they quit having headaches after stopping their use of products containing aspartame. Then they resumed their use of aspartame and were unfortunate enough to find that the headaches returned and were much worse than in the past.

Gum Free Of Aspartame

Posted by GW | Posted in Aspartame Free Gum | Posted on 29-06-2009

I remember a few months back while chewing my favourite piece of gum I was reading the back and noticed a WARNING!…I couldnt believe it…a warning on gum. I figured, maybe it’s time to find some Aspartame free gum?

So I did a little research and found some pretty scary results about what I was putting into my mouth every single day. All the gum I chewed contained aspartame in it….and I mean ALL of it. I couldn find anything in local stores that was sugar free gum and didn’t have this sugar substitute in it.

Aspartame can have some pretty nasty side effects from what Ive been reading. Here’s a run down. The list of the side effects related to consumption of aspartame is very long. Moreover, according to the Headache review of November 1997, particularly sensitive people can feel effects with very low dose: chewing gum, for example, can cause an headache. In 1994, the FDA had already accumulated nearly 7000 complaints of side effects connected to aspartame. Most frequent are: headaches (what was confirmed by several studies), giddiness, blurred vision, changes of mood, pains to the belly and cramps.

Among the other symptoms that have appeared are depression, the losses of memory, pains at the joints, menstrual disorders, epileptic fits and even some deaths! And that is only one fraction of the effects currently associated to the consumption of aspartame, since the majority of people have not yet establish the link between their health issues and this product. Even if they do it, only a small percentage of people and health professionals take time to bring it back to the governmental authorities.

In 1991, the National Institute off Health published a bibliography, Adverse Effects off Aspartame, giving over 167 reasons to avoid the aspartame. A recent study also showed that aspartame, just like sugar, promotes calcium loss.
