It’s Easy!

The process of making your own like this is really fun and easy to do with your kids. Since there’s no dangerous or sharp equipment involved little ones can join right in while you have fun with peace of mind. Using the microwave is about all you really have to do. All you do is Soften the gum base (you can use a stove if you’d like) Add in the sugar and syrup packages and then kneed in the flavorings. Once you allow it to set for a short time you have gum! Really cool little gift indeed for anyone doesn’t even have to be kids.

This can also be a really cool educational tool for children because it comes with a book that teaches them where the sap used in the gum comes from.
In 1992, the good people at Glee Gum went to chicle-producing village in North Guatemala. The company claims that until this point they had little hands on experience on where their raw product actually came from. Upon their visit they learned how synthetic resins have been problem for these farmers and their crop was not being used nearly as much prior to these new synthetic materials being used. chicle was the basis of the entire industry. So with that in mind the company who makes Glee set out to buy and use the Chicle in their own chewing gum products in order to help out these people while bringing children everywhere natural great tasting gum and also educating them on where it comes from and how it’s made along with the importance of such ingredients to native people of Central America.
